PM Modi, addressing a public gathering in Kolkata, emphasized the BJP government’s push for an anti-corruption bill in the Lok Sabha. He highlighted the existing rules for lower-level officials, where arrests lead to automatic suspension after 50 hours without bail, and criticized the lack of such rules for higher-level leaders. Modi pointed out that some leaders, like a TMC minister involved in the teachers’ recruitment scam, continue to attempt to run the government from jail.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at a public meeting in Kolkata, criticized the TMC government for the rise in atrocities against women, and for the growing prevalence of crime and corruption in the state. He stated that West Bengal’s development would remain stalled as long as the TMC is in power. Modi emphasized that real change would only come with the removal of the TMC, and called for criminals and corrupt individuals to be jailed, not allowed to hold power.

He spoke about the significance of “Atmanirbharta” (self-reliance) in driving India toward new heights, highlighting the success of Operation Sindoor. Modi credited India’s success in countering terrorism to the strength of “Made in India” weapons and the bravery of the Indian army, which had destroyed terrorist bases in Pakistan.

He pointed out that even developed countries are focusing on removing infiltrators, and questioned whether India should not take similar action. Modi urged the people of Bengal to vote for a future free of infiltrators, highlighting the need to protect jobs for the youth and ensure the responsible use of India’s limited resources. He reaffirmed his commitment to not allowing infiltrators to take away opportunities from the nation’s youth.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several key leaders including Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, Union Minister Giriraj Singh, and Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Sinha and Samrat Choudhary. The Aunta–Simaria bridge is expected to significantly reduce travel time between North and South Bihar, enhance regional connectivity, and boost local economic activity.

PM Modi, speaking live from Bihar, highlighted illegal immigration as a major problem affecting the state. He said that immigrants are taking away jobs and land from the people of Bihar, infringing on their rights. Modi warned people to be cautious of supporters within the country who aid such immigrants. He accused parties like Congress and RJD of appeasing immigrants by denying rightful opportunities to Bihar’s residents. Modi stated that the NDA government is committed to preventing immigrants from taking away jobs and benefits meant for Indian citizens. To tackle this issue, a demographic mission has been planned, which will soon begin its work to identify and deport illegal immigrants from the country.

PM Modi emphasised the need for strict anti-corruption laws, stating that no one—including the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers, or ministers—should be above the law. He highlighted the new constitutional amendment requiring arrested officials to get bail within 30 days or resign from their position. Modi criticised opposition parties like RJD, Congress, and Left for opposing the law and stressed that corrupt leaders cannot hide their crimes.

During his visit to Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 6-lane Aunta-Simaria bridge over the Ganga River. He mentioned that he had earlier laid the foundation stone for the project, and now had the honor of inaugurating it. The bridge will not only connect roads but also link North and South Bihar, improving connectivity, saving travel time, and providing greater convenience to the people.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his efforts on employment. He highlighted that due to Nitish Kumar’s leadership, teacher recruitment in the state is happening transparently and a major drive to provide government jobs has been launched. PM Modi also mentioned the Centre’s support through a new scheme — the Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana, launched on August 15 — aimed at boosting employment. Under this scheme, youth getting their first job in the private sector will receive Rs 15,000 from the government. Additionally, private companies offering jobs will also receive financial incentives. This initiative is expected to benefit the people of Bihar significantly.

PM Narendra Modi criticised the previous RJD government, saying that during their rule, Bihar, including Gaya Ji, suffered from red terror, darkness, lack of education, and employment, forcing many to migrate, with the RJD treating people merely as a vote bank without concern for their well-being.

PM Modi stated that a resolve made on the soil of Bihar is never unfulfilled, praising the region as the land of Chanakya and Chandragupta. Referring to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, he emphasised that his vow to eliminate terrorists, made from Bihar, has been fulfilled and is being witnessed by the world today.

PM Modi stated that during Operation Sindoor, Pakistan launched drone and missile attacks on India, but none of their missiles caused any damage, as India effectively neutralised them. He emphasised that Operation Sindoor has set a new benchmark in India’s defence policy, ensuring that no terrorists sent into India will be able to escape.

PM Modi said he finds the greatest happiness in serving the people, highlighting that over 4 crore permanent houses have been built for the poor in 11 years, including more than 2 lakh homes in Gaya Ji district.

In his address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Bihar government for renaming Gaya as Gaya Ji. He stated that the double-engine government of Bihar is continuously working towards the rapid development of Gaya Ji. On a single day, projects worth thousands of crores were inaugurated and laid foundation stones in Gaya Ji. These initiatives will strengthen industries and create new employment opportunities for the youth.

In Gaya Ji, PM Narendra Modi flagged off the Amrit Bharat Express and the Buddhist Circuit Train, enhancing connectivity and promoting tourism across important Buddhist sites.

He also noted the development of a 1,300-acre industrial area and other central government initiatives in Magadh, including the comprehensive development of the Bodh Gaya temple and the creation of a corridor modeled after Varanasi’s.
