West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar in Delhi on Monday, accompanied by Trinamool Congress MPs Abhishek Banerjee and Kalyan Banerjee and families affected by the Special Investment Region (SIR) project.

The meeting comes after CEC Kumar had allocated time last week to hear the concerns of Ms. Banerjee and the affected families. The discussions reportedly focused on issues faced by residents impacted by SIR projects and the Trinamool Congress’s request for election-related interventions.
