In a major relief to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, a special court in Bengaluru on Tuesday (January 28, 2026) accepted the ‘B’ report filed by the Lokayukta police, effectively giving a clean chit to him and his wife B.M. Parvathi in the MUDA case.
The case pertained to allegations of illegalities and corruption in the allotment of 14 residential sites, estimated to be worth ₹56 crore, to Parvathi by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
The verdict was delivered by the Special Court of Sessions for Criminal Cases against former and present MPs and MLAs. The court also rejected a protest petition filed by complainant Snehamayi Krishna, a Mysuru-based social activist, who had challenged the conclusions of the Lokayukta police investigation.
With the acceptance of the ‘B’ report, the court concluded that no prosecutable evidence was found against Siddaramaiah or his wife in the matter, bringing relief to the Chief Minister amid ongoing political scrutiny.
